We are so excited about the 2024/2025 dance season and thrilled that you’re interested in joining our Thrive Dance SK (TDSK) family!

For both new and returning students, we ask that you take a moment to review the following important information before registering. This includes key details about the upcoming season, our studio policies, and guidelines. The Studio Handbook will also serve as a helpful reference throughout the year and may answer many of your questions. We know it's a lengthy read, but it covers nearly everything you need to know for a successful dance season!

Registration Policy

I acknowledge that registering for a Class in Bloom as described in the Studio Handbook 2024/2025 assumes participation in the final year-end recital/dance performance (excluding Enhancement and Ivy Classes). If a dancer chooses to opt-out of recital and is simply dancing recreationally, notice is required via email confirmation to hello@thrivedancesk.com by October 15, 2024, at 11:59PM.

Behavioural Policy

I acknowledge that Thrive Dance SK will not tolerate any harassment of any kind towards dancers, groups, Parents/Guardians, and Staff (Instructors, Admin, etc.) in any manner both inside and outside of the studio, including but not limited to in-person, via phone (texts/calls/chats/e-mail/etc.), social media, at competitions or in the community. I understand that harassment and/or discrimination of any kind will be taken very seriously.

I acknowledge that Thrive Dance SK has a procedural outline for any behavioural issues brought to their attention. I understand that not all situations may be verifiable and that Thrive Dance SK will bring all scenarios to the studios' attention to the parents/guardians of the student(s) involved. Parents/guardians may be asked to continue the conversation amongst themselves without the guidance of the studio owners.

I acknowledge that Thrive Dance SK reserves the right to remove any dancer or dance family displaying these actions from the class, either temporarily or for the remainder of the season. I acknowledge that no refunds will be issued for any removal from classes based on behaviour described above.

Attendance Policy

I acknowledge the attendance policy at Thrive Dance SK. I acknowledge that consistent attendance for dance class is very important. I understand that as a part of a team, dancers should make every effort to attend all classes and performances during the year. I understand that this enhances the dance experience and allows the dancer to feel confident in knowing their classwork. I acknowledge that if my child is injured, sick, or encounters a family/school/extracurricular activity conflict, I will notify the dance studio immediately by texting, calling, emailing, or submitting an absence directly into Dance Studio Pro. I acknowledge that if my dancer does not make it to class, that is my responsibility to ensure that they continue to stretch and practice at home with recorded videos from the studio so they don’t fall behind.

I acknowledge that Thrive Dance SK reserves the right to not provide any refunds for students that are removed from their class(es) due to missing a total of 7 or more classes throughout the season. I acknowledge that early arrival for dance class is very important. I understand that classes begin with a stretch or a warm-up for safety reasons and late arrival is a disruption of concentration to the class and its students. I acknowledge that if my dancer is well enough to attend class, they will arrive on time (or earlier than the scheduled start time) and will be ready with the proper shoes and attire as stated in the Studio Handbook 2024/2025.

Fees & Refunds Policies (Registration, Class, Late, Costume, and Competition)

I acknowledge that the fee policy at Thrive Dance SK encompasses Registration, Class, Late, Costume, and Competitions Fees as stated in the Studio Handbook 2024/2025. I acknowledge that Thrive Dance SK reserves the right to take legal action when necessary to collect any and all unpaid fees.

I acknowledge that Class Fees are based on 30 dance classes per season, including Photos Week. I acknowledge that there are no refunds for classes that are not attended by students. I acknowledge that dancers’ fee installments must be paid for the month in order to continue dancing for that month. I acknowledge that any fees not paid are subject to Late Fees as stated in the Studio Handbook 2024/2025.

I acknowledge that any classes required to be canceled due to acts of nature or the safety of the staff and students will not be required to be made up at another date.

I acknowledge that the Registration Fee as outlined in the Studio Handbook 2024/2025 is due upon registration and is non-refundable. I understand that 40this balance is required to secure a spot in class and if unpaid, this spot may be forfeited.

I acknowledge that the first monthly instalment is required to be paid prior to or on the dancer’s first day of class. I acknowledge that any fees not paid are subject to Late Fees as stated in the Studio Handbook 2024/2025. I acknowledge that any payment received in relation to the Early Bird pre-registration discount as stated in the Studio Handbook 2024/2024, will be applied to the second monthly installment.

I acknowledge that any fees unpaid after the last business day of the month prior will be charged a late fee of $15/week until balance is paid.

I acknowledge any non-inclusive pricing Costume Fees will be due before October 15th, 2024 at 11:59PM. I acknowledge that all unpaid fees will be subject to Late Fees as stated in the Studio Handbook 2024/2024 (or see above). I acknowledge that the final date to purchase all costumes will be October 31st, 2024 at 11:59 PM in order to ensure that the costumes arrive in time. I acknowledge that Thrive Dance SK will not be liable for the timing of any costumes if the order is not placed by the deadline.

I acknowledge that all Costume Fees are non-refundable post-deadline as stated in the Studio Handbook 2024/2025. I acknowledge that if a student chooses to withdraw from their class(es), costumes will not be released until the dancer’s account is paid up until the withdrawal date. I acknowledge that if notice of withdrawal is not given as stated above, Thrive Dance SK has the right to withhold all costumes based on policy. I acknowledge that costumes are required for purchase for all Classes in Bloom (excluding Enhancement Classes and Ivy Classes) and those who dance competitively. I acknowledge that should I withdrawal from classes after October 15th, 2024 at 11:59pm, a charge of $12/remaining installment months will be charged and owing on myaccount and must be paid. I acknowledge that Thrive Dance SK reserves the right to take legal action when necessary to collect any and all unpaid fees.

I acknowledge Competition Fees will be due before November 15, 2024, at 11:59PM. I acknowledge that all unpaid fees will be subject to Late Fees as stated in the Studio Handbook 2024/2025. I acknowledge that each competition will have its own deadline date to register. I acknowledge that individual competition deadlines and payment terms for each Competition will be communicated to dance families with notice prior to submitting payment. I acknowledge that no refunds will be issued since Thrive Dance SK acts as a middle entity in relation to competition fees and pays for the competition on the dance family’s behalf. I acknowledge that a portion of the competition fees include administration fees that are non-refundable. I acknowledge that Thrive Dance SK will not be liable for any registration received post-competition registration deadline.

I acknowledge that all Competition Fees are non-refundable unless stated in each Competition’s Individual Fee Policies.

I acknowledge that absolutely no refunds will be given after December 31st, 2024, and all Fees (Class, Competition, and Costume unless stated otherwise) are required to be paid for the months of January 2025- May 2025. I acknowledge that Thrive Dance SK reserves the right to take legal action when necessary to collect any and all unpaid fees.

I acknowledge that refunds will ONLY be given for Class Fees that are paid in advance when a student chooses to withdraw from their class(es) and notice is received by Thrive Dance SK in an email on or before the last day of the month prior to withdrawing. I acknowledge that all Class Fees are required to be paid up until the withdrawal date. I acknowledge that the date of withdrawal will be the last day of the month that the student is withdrawing from. I acknowledge that if notice of withdrawal is not given as stated above, Thrive Dance SK has the right to charge for future months as based on policy.

I acknowledge that if a refund is required to be processed, there will be a $2 processing fee and an $8 administration fee to issue a refund.
